The Houston Texans have been hit with yet another injury blow, this time to star quarterback Deshaun Watson. This could be a big loss for the team and their chances of winning the AFC South, but it might also lead to an even bigger win for the Jacksonville Jaguars.
The urban meyer nfl is a team that the Houston Texans have been battling with for the number one overall pick. With the latest injury blow to their quarterback, they may now be able to snatch it away from them.
It’s never too early to start thinking about the NFL draft, particularly for clubs that have given up hope of making the playoffs this season. The Houston Texans are at the top of this list, having entered 2021 with no intention of contending.
They have a roster full of misfits and one-year free agents, and they’re still looking to get rid of Deshaun Watson and his baggage. While rookie quarterback Davis Mills impressed against the New England Patriots in Week 5, the general opinion is that Houston will need to select a new franchise quarterback shortly.
Injuries to athletes are the last thing you want to see. A recent significant injury to the Texans’ offense, on the other hand, actually helps them in their quest to reach the top of the draft board.

There are no standout players on the Texans’ 53-man roster. That is, until you get to Laremy Tunsil, the left tackle.
Tunsil is one of the few great tackles in the NFL, having started his career with the Miami Dolphins before being traded to the Houston Texans in a blockbuster offseason transaction that included several first-round choices. He’s a two-time Pro Bowler who is widely regarded as a franchise left tackle capable of anchoring an offensive line.
He was originally acquired by the Texans in order to provide greater protection for Watson. He’s now a Ferrari on a Texans offense that’s dominated by SUVs and minivans.

While Mills may not be pleased with the prospect of Tunsil missing at least a month of action, the harsh truth is that his absence will only help the Texans lose more games.
The Texans’ aim this season is to totally bottom out and get the No. 1 overall selection, but they’ll never admit it publicly. With that selection, they may choose a new quarterback, a new star pass-rusher, or even trade down in the draft in return for a slew of assets and draft money.
In any case, the Texans have been indicating all summer that they aren’t interested in competing this season. In this respect, losing their best overall player for 4-5 games benefits them.
Urban Meyer and the Jaguars aren’t going to make it easy for you.
The Texans were the overwhelming favorite in the offseason to earn the first selection in 2022. They do not, however, currently occupy the top of the draft board. The Texans are expected to pick third overall, according to Tankathon. The Jacksonville Jaguars have the first selection, while the Detroit Lions have the second.
In recent weeks, the Lions have come close to victory. It’s fair to predict that they won’t go winless this season. On the other hand, the Jaguars aren’t such a sure thing. Through five games this season, they’ve looked utterly lifeless, and Urban Meyer keeps making one stupid move after another.
The Texans have already beaten Jacksonville already this season, which complicates matters even further.
With Tunsil out for a few weeks, the Texans are likely to continue losing games. Meyer and the Jaguars must, though, get their act together just a little more if they want the highly sought No. 1 overall selection.
